Haldar Ms. Dipa Bhattacharya ..for the State Mr. Sourav Mondal Ms. Esha Das ..for Principal Accountant General It has been submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner that the husband of the petitioner was a Lecturer at Ramananda College, Bankura. He retired on February 28, 1997 and died on November 30, 2021. The petitioner, as his wife, filed an application for release of family pension in her favour but her prayer was not considered by the concerned authorities.

I am not inclined to keep this writ petition pending. Accordingly, liberty is granted to the petitioner to make a comprehensive representation before the Director of Public Instructions, West Bengal for release of family pension in her favour. If such

representation is filed within one month from date, the Director of Public Instructions, West Bengal shall consider the same in accordance with law within a period of two months thereafter. The Director of Public Instructions, West Bengal shall hear the petitioner as well as the college before taking the decision. Accordingly, WPA 2005 of 2024 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
