Thereafter, a Special Leave Petition had been filed by the alleged contemnor, which also met with dismissal on September 23, 2022.

It is submitted that, as such, it was the incumbent duty of the alleged contemnor to comply with the order of this court but the alleged contemnor has written a letter recently to the petitioners

indicating that the previous earnest money deposited by the petitioners has lapsed in the meantime and that the petitioners are required to deposit the same afresh.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are ready with the requisite amount by way of a Demand Draft. At this point of time, the learned Senior Advocate appearing for the alleged contemnor submits that appropriate forms are also required to be filled in for the purpose of depositing such amount.

Learned counsel for the petitioners then submits that the petitioners shall comply with the requisite formalities by next Monday. Accordingly, the petitioners are given liberty to comply with the requisite formalities by depositing the earnest money afresh in accordance with law by Monday, that is, November 14, 2022.

If such formalities are complied with by the said date, the alleged contemnor shall provide electricity connection to the petitioners in terms of the order of this court by November 17, 2022.

The matter shall next be enlisted for passing final orders on November 18, 2022.
