Learned counsel for the petitioners informs this court that deficit court-fees have been deposited on February 10, 2022 under filing no. A-2142. Learned counsel for the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (in short 'WBSEDCL') submits a report, which is kept on record, indicating that the private respondents have given their 'no objection' to the electric connection-inquestion being given to the petitioners. As such, in principle, the WBSEDCL is now agreeable to give such connection subject to compliance of all requisite formalities by the petitioners.

In view of such fair stand taken by the WBSEDCL, WPA 1948 of 2022 is disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to give new electric connection to the petitioners, upon compliance of all formalities by the petitioners, preferably within three weeks from the completion of such formalities. Needless to say, in the event of any hindrance being raised by anyone to the WBSEDCL personnel giving such connection, it will be open to the personnel of the WBSEDCL to approach the Officerin-Charge of the local police station, that is, the Pandua Police Station (respondent no. 4). If so approached, the Officer-in-Charge, Pandua Police Station shall give adequate police protection to the WBSEDCL personnel for such purpose at the cost of the petitioners.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
