As none appears on behalf of the State, Ms. Mohuya Dutta Biswas, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State, is directed to represent the State. Her appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

The petitioner has approached this Court after a representation was made to the Officer-inCharge, Uttarpara Police Station along with the superior officers. The said representation dated 06.02.2023 was in respect of a prayer relating to further investigation of Uttarpara Police Station Case No. 152 of 2013. The petitioner's main concern is that the persons named in the criminal case are subjecting her to inconvenience and threatening her with dire consequences.

Having considered the nature of the information so furnished and the statutory provisions available under the law, I direct that if the petitioner is faced with inconvenience, she may approach the jurisdictional court wherein chargesheet has been submitted for appropriate remedies.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 2045 of 2024 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
