The petitioner complains that the police are not proceeding properly in response to the complaint lodged by the petitioner against the private respondent in September 2023.

The petitioner alleges that her bank account has been frozen illegally and she prays for de-freezing the same.

Learned advocate representing the State relies upon the instructions forwarded by the Officer-in-Charge of Hastings police station signed on June 18, 2024 which mentions that the complaint of the petitioner was inquired and it was found that her account was frozen by the Citizen Financial Cyber Frauds Reporting and Management System vide Acknowledgement No.30209230010118 on the basis of the cyber fraud complaint generated by Pattabhipuran police station, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.

The State police contacted with the Guntur Cyber Cell at Andhra Pradesh and got a reply that complaint of

online fraudulent transaction amount of Rs.13,75,475/- was received. The petitioner was requested to contact with the concerned police station for de-freezing her frozen account.

From the instructions forwarded by the police, it appears that the bank account of the petitioner was found involved in cyber crime of online monetary transaction of a different State. The bank account has not been frozen by any State agency. The court fails to notice any inaction on the part of the police calling for interference by this court.

It will be open for the petitioner to approach the learned court in seisin of the matter for de-freezing her bank account.

The writ petition is disposed of.
