The petitioner is complaining that she being the successor-in-interest of the original lessee has inherited a plot of land of the Visva Bharati, the respondent no. 1 herein and applied for mutation of her name in respect of the said plot of land way back on September 20, 2006.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the Registrar of Visva Bharati being the respondent no. 2 is obliged to dispose of her said application for mutation but has kept it pending.

W.P.A. 2528 of 2021 is disposed of by directing the Registrar, Visva Bharati, the respondent no. 2 herein to dispose of the application of the petitioner for mutation dated September 20, 2006 in accordance with law within a period of 10 weeks from the date of communication of this order after giving an opportunity of being heard to all interested parties.

Since no affidavit-in-opposition has been invited the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

No order as to costs.
