dismissed that the petitioner in connection with the present case has been in custody since 30th October, 2023 and he was shown arrested in connection with the present case after being arrested in another case on 24th November, 2023. It has also been contended that the petitioner in connection with the present case is in custody for more than 2 years 3 months and only two witnesses till date out of the cited 29 witnesses have been examined and the evidence of the third witness is in progress.

Learned advocate for the State and the de facto complainant opposes the prayer for bail. Attention of the Court was drawn on behalf of the State to the postmortem report which

reflects that several bullet injuries were sustained by the deceased. Having considered the manner in which the deceased met his end by sustaining several bullet injuries, I am of the view that the other eyewitnesses are to be examined. Let the trial court expedite the process of examination of the witnesses. At this stage, I am of the view that this is not a fit case for granting bail. Accordingly, CRM (M) 296 of 2026 is dismissed. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
