By the said order, the Principal Secretary, Judicial Department, Government of West Bengal was directed to dispose of the instruction sought for by the learned District Judge, Uttar Dinajpur vide memo dated 16th April, 2024 by 19th January, 2025. Although the matter was not disposed of by 19th January, 2025 as directed, but has been disposed of on 31st July, 2025, admittedly after the contempt application has been filed and moved.

This Court does not appreciate the delay.

However, since the order has been complied in

substance, this contempt proceeding is dropped and the contempt application is disposed of recording belated compliance.

Dismissal of the contempt application will, however, not stand in the way of the petitioner in challenging the reasoned order dated 31st July, 2025, if the petitioner is aggrieved by the same.

It is also recorded that the petitioner has received the copy of the reasoned order dated 31st July, 2025. (Arindam Mukherjee, J.)
