And In Re : Surajit Das @ Banshi @ Subhajit Das @ Basi ...... petitioner Mr. Kaushik Chowdhury Ms. Busra Khatun ....for the petitioner Md. Anwar Hossain Ms. Ratna Ghosh ....for the State There are materials in the case diary suggesting that the petitioner was involved in atleast taunting ladies on the way. The de-facto complainant implicates the petitioner in her statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The nature of the incident and the involvement of the petitioner therein is such that it would remit negative signals to the society if anticipatory bail is granted.

In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 427 of 2023 is dismissed.
