Petitioner has approached this court for effective investigation in respect of Cyber Crime Police Station, Chandannagar Police Commissionerate PS Case No. 18/2022 dated 21.09.2022.

Learned advocate for the state has submitted a report.

Report reflects that police authorities have taken steps and accordingly, one of the accused namely Pranab Mondal was arrested. Some of the accounts, where money has been transferred, have been traced. But majority of the money has already

been withdrawn. Raids have been conducted at the house of some of the accused persons.

Police authorities are taking steps.

However, having regard to the nature of the offence complained of and the grievance expressed by the petitioner, I direct that a Deputy Commissioner of Police will monitor the investigation which is being conducted by Cyber Crime Police Station, Chandannagar Police Commissionerate before the investigation is taken to its logical conculsion. Efforts be taken by the Commissionerate to trace out each and every offenders who have direct complicity with the alleged offence.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 2095 of 2024 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate for the petitioner.
