The present writ application has been preferred praying for direction upon the respondent (Certificate Officer ) to conclude the certificate proceedings dated 17th December, 2021 which is still pending.

On hearing the learned counsel for the parties it appears that the certificate proceedings was initiated in December 2021. A notice for hearing has been

issued by the Certificate Officer , Howrah on 22.3.2024 since then there has been no progress in the certificate proceedings for which the petitioner is facing prejudiced not receiving the balance amount of gratuity along with interest due to him.

Considering the materials on record and the nature of relief prayed for and on hearing the learned counsel for the parties , the writ petition is disposed of with the direction that the certificate proceedings be disposed of by the Certificate Officer in accordance with law within a period of 30 days from the date of this order.

Both parties are at liberty to communicate the server copy of the order to the Certificate Officer.

Let a copy of this order be sent to the learned Certificate Officer,Howrah, District Magistrate, Howrah and the Labour Commissioner, Government of West Bengal.

Accordingly, WPA 2216 of 2025 is disposed of.

All parties are directed to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
