In re : CRAN 2 of 2024

1. The petitioner was enlarged on bail by an order dated February 2, 2024, passed in CRM (DB) 319 of 2024, inter alia, on the conditions that he shall not enter the jurisdiction of Singur Police Station except for the purpose of attending Court proceedings and shall report to the Officer-in-Charge of the police station concerned within whose jurisdiction he shall presently reside once in a week until further orders.

2. He says that he has been complying with the conditions of bail. He seeks relaxation of the aforesaid two conditions. He also says that his home is within the jurisdiction of Singur Police Station.

His elderly father is ailing. His wife is in the family way.

3. The State files a report. Let the same be kept with the records. From the report, we do not find anything adverse regarding this petitioner so far as the present case is concerned. He has been reporting to Srirampore Police Station every week.

4. In view of the aforesaid, we are inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer.

5. Accordingly, the conditions of bail requiring the petitioner not to enter the jurisdiction of Singur Police Station and to report to the Officer-in-Charge of the Police Station concerned stand waived. The other conditions of bail will remain unaltered.
