Sabir Ahmed ... for the State Following an earlier order, the alleged missing person Jayanti Das is before us with police escort. We have interacted with her. She says that she is the daughter of Madhab Das who is the writ petitioner and that her statement under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C. was recorded after she was recovered. She says that as of now, she stays in Barasat and works as a domestic help.

We see that she is a free person and hence nothing survives in this writ petition.

Accordingly, WPA (H) 7 of 2021 is disposed of. However, this will not preclude the parties to proceed in accordance with law, if any remedy is available to them on the issue.
