And In Re : Bablu Dhali ..... petitioner Mr. Angshuman Chakraborty ... for the petitioner Mr. Madhu Sudan Sur, learned APP Mr. Manoranjan Mahata ... for the State Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits he is in custody for more than one and half year. He prays for bail. Learned Counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits most of the prosecution witnesses have already been examined and trial has substantially progressed. We have considered the materials on record. Victim is a 14 year old girl. Trial has substantially progressed. In view of gravity of the offence and attending circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
