Heard the learned advocates appearing for the parties.

On perusal of the writ petition, it appears that from page 21 being Annexure P-3, the petitioner has made a representation to the District Magistrate, Murshidabad, for consideration of the claim of compensation relating to the plots in question and it is the grievance of the petitioner that till date, the same has not been disposed of and is still pending.

Considering the submissions of the parties, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the District Magistrate/ respondent no.2 to consider and dispose of the representation dated 5th December, 2016 being Annexure P-3 to the writ petition in accordance with law and by

passing a reasoned and speaking order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the parties within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. Let it be recorded that this Court has not gone into the merit of this case and the respondents will decide the case of the petitioner strictly in accordance with law. The application being WPA 1563 of 2017 is disposed of.
