Mr. Gourav Das ... For the DPSC, South 24 Pgs. The petitioners are the Assistant Teachers at different primary schools under 24-Parganas (South) District Primary School Council. They are praying 'A' category scale of pay as they had completed their training qualification, i.e. 2 years D.El.Ed. Course conducted by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education before joining the service.

Learned advocate for the petitioners submits that similarly placed teachers are getting the benefit of 'A' category scale of pay. He prays that the issue may be relegated to the Commissioner of School Education, Government of West Bengal, the respondent no. 2 herein for consideration.

The respondent no. 2 is directed to consider the prayer of the petitioners for 'A' category scale of pay in accordance with law and to facilitate such consideration, the petitioners are directed to supply the complete copy of the writ petition to the respondent no. 2.

W.P.A. 2282 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.

No affidavit since has been invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.
