This Court by the order dated February 27, 2025 had directed the Commissioner of School Education, Government of West Bengal, the added respondent herein and the West Bengal Board of Primary Education to take steps for admission of the petitioner in any Government college enabling him to pursue the D.El.Ed. course for the session 2024-2026.

Mr. Biswas, learned advocate for the West Bengal Board of Primary Education submits that classes of the course are continuing for last six months; as such at this stage, it would be difficult for the petitioner to cope up with the course, it would be beneficial if he joins in the next session.

Mr. Dasgupta, learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the classes of the said course have not yet started. He further submits that in the District Institute of Education and Training, Banipur, District: 24-Parganas (North) is a Government institute and there are vacant seats. The direction since has already been passed to arrange for admission of the petitioner, the Board shall take steps for admission of the petitioner at the said District Institute of Education and Training, Banipur, District: 24-Parganas (North) for the aforementioned course.

To facilitate such admission, the petitioner is directed to contact with the Deputy Secretary of the Board immediately and the Board within a period of two weeks from the date of completion of all formalities shall arrange for the said admission.

It is made clear that this order has been passed in the facts and circumstances of the present case and therefore shall not be treated as a precedent.

WPA 2299 of 2025 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
