It is submitted by the petitioner that his grievance has been met in view of the fact that the Election Commission has withdrawn the order of disqualification. The petitioner was disqualified in terms of Section 34 of the West Bengal Municipal Election Act, 1994. Subsequent notification is kept on record.

In view of such submission made by Mr. Kar, learned senior advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of as not pressed.

There shall be no order as to costs.
