This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the writ petitioners are aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondent authorities in considering their prayer for rectification dated September 22, 2020.

I have heard counsel appearing on behalf of the parties and perused the materials placed on record. Accordingly, I direct the Deputy Commissioner, B.B.D. Bag, Division II, Kolkata - North, Range-V being the respondent no.1 herein to grant an opportunity of hearing to the parties and thereafter pass a reasoned order with regard to the said representation within a period of eight weeks from date. The reasoned order shall be communicated to the petitioners within a week from the date of passing of the same.

I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of this case.

With these above observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.

Since, no affidavit-in-opposition has been called for the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have not been admitted by the respondents.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
