The writ petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that despite complaint to the Officer-in-charge, Swarupnagar Police Station and the Superintendent of Police, Basirhat, North 24 Parganas, no steps have been taken against the private respondent.

The Officer-in-charge, Swarupnagar Police Station has filed report in the form of instructions addressed to the Government Pleader, High Court, Calcutta and the same is taken on record.

It appears therefrom that in respect of the petitioner's complaint to the Swarupnagar Police Station Case No. 126 of 2022 dated 15.02.2022 under Sections 420/406/120B of the Indian Penal Code have been registered.

It is expected that the investigation of the aforesaid complaint is expeditiously undertaken and a final report is filed before the Jurisdictional Magistrate within a period of one month from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
