The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the refusal of the CESC to supply a fresh electric connection in favour of the petitioner.

Advocate for the CESC Ltd. submits that this is the second application made on behalf of the petitioner and there is suppression by the petitioner.

In view of the disputed questions raised in this petition, I am of the view that the matter be referred to the Ombudsman under Regulation 14 of the West Bengal Electricity Redressal Commission. If such representation is made to the Ombudsman under Regulation 14 of the West Bengal Electricity Redressal Commission, the Ombudsman is directed to dispose of the same within a period of three weeks thereafter after giving appropriate

reasons and after affording a right of hearing to all the affected parties.

With the aforesaid direction WPA 2646 of 2021 is disposed of.

However, there will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
