The writ petition was lastly called on 30th January, 2025. Thereafter at the behest of the petitioner, the writ petition has been upgraded. Today, when the matter is called on, none appears for the petitioner.

As none appears on behalf of the State, Ms.

Amrita Panja Moulick, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State, is directed to represent the State. Her appearance may be regularized by the concerned authorities.

I have taken into account the representation made to the Inspector-in-Charge, Contai Police Station. The genesis of the same arises out of a civil dispute and the inaction complained of is for effecting the civil court's order. The said representation was filed more than two years ago. Petitioner would approach the civil court for police assistance. In case any order is passed by the civil court, the police

authorities would respect, obey and implement the same.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 2223 of 2023 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
