1. By this public interest litigation the petitioner seeks for appropriate action pursuant to the action already initiated by the fourth respondent, namely, the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, Domjur, Howrah by its memo dated 1st March, 2016. Based on a complaint given by the petitioner action has been initiated and notices have been issued to the private respondents for illegally filling up a water body. The said authority has directed that the plots have to be restored in the original condition within ten days from the date of the notice dated 16th April, 2016. However, it appears that till that no action has been taken though there was an enquiry notice which was issued on 21.06.2016.

2. Considering the stalemate in the matter, we direct the fourth respondent to take appropriate action in accordance with the provisions of West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955 on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 14th January, 2020 and within a

period of thirty days from the date of receipt of the server copy of this order.

3. In order to have effective compliance of this direction, the petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 14th January, 2020 along with a copy of the order to the fourth respondent for due compliance.

4. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
