Mr. Pritam Chowdhury ..for the petitioner It is the grievance of the petitioner that respondent nos. 7 and 8 have constructed a temporary toilet, as a result of which wastewater is allegedly flowing into a well situated within the petitioner's premises. According to the petitioner, such nuisance caused by respondent nos. 7 and 8 has led to contamination of the drinking water drawn from the said well.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that a representation dated July 18, 2024 was made before the concerned Sub-Divisional Officer, with a copy thereof forwarded to the concerned Gram Panchayat. However, no steps have been taken by the authorities till date.

In view of the above, this Court finds no justification to keep the present writ petition pending.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Pradhan, Shaldiha

Gram Panchayat, respondent no. 5, to consider the petitioner's representation, appearing at page 21 of the writ petition, within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order. After affording an opportunity of hearing to the parties, the concerned Pradhan shall take necessary steps in accordance with law within a further period of one month from the date of communication of this order.

Accordingly, WPA 2965 of 2025 is disposed of.
