Apparently, an incident of assault took place involving large number of persons.

There is a counter police complaint registered after an order passed by the jurisdictional Court under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure over the same incident. In that police complaint, apparently, one person suffered grievous hurt.

In the present police complaint, four persons suffered injuries.

Injury of one of the injured was classified as grievous hurt. Injuries inflicted were through sharp-cutting weapons as well as iron rods.

All the petitioners before us stand implicated in the incident of assault.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioners in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected.

C.R.M. (A) 387 of 2024 is dismissed.
