This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the writ petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondent authorities in processing his prayer for general transfer on special ground. According to the petitioner, No Objection Certificate has been provided by the school authority and the file is now lying with the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Hooghly. Mr. Biswabrata Basu Mallick, counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that direction may be given to the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.) to forward the application of the petitioner to the Commissioner of School Education.

In light of the above submissions, I direct the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Hooghly being the respondent no.3 herein to forward the application of the petitioner to the Commissioner of School Education being the respondent no.4 herein within a period of two weeks from date and upon

receipt of the same, respondent no.4 is directed to act upon the same expeditiously.

With the above observations, this writ petition is disposed of.

Since, no affidavit-in-opposition has been called for the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have not been admitted by the respondents.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
