Petitioner contends she has been falsely implicated. He is not named in the First Information Report. Investigation is complete. Coaccused have been granted bail. Accordingly, he prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

We have considered the materials on record including statements of eyewitnesses. Their statements disclose petitioner had also participated in the assault and slapped the victim. Other accused assaulted the victim resulting in his death.

In light of the involvement of the petitioner in the crime and gravity of offence, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
