Mr. Partha Sarathi Mondal ......for the petitioners Mr. Deepnath Roy Chowdhury .....for the State

1. By way of filing this public interest litigation, the petitioners seek for demolition of the houses constructed by the private respondents viz., the respondent no.10 on the ground that the construction has been put up on a land belonging to the Public Works Department.

2. Along with the representation, except a photograph and copy of the representation, the petitioners have not produced any document to prima facie show that the land is a Government land.

3. Therefore, we find the writ petition to be bereft of particulars and no direction, as sought for can be granted.

4. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed.

5. However, this will not prevent the petitioners from approaching the respondent authorities by way of a

fresh representation enclosing sufficient documents to prima facie establish that the land in question is a Government land.

6. No costs.

7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities.
