The records of the case reflect that one of the accused is absconding.

However, there is no assistance from the State, as none appears on behalf of the State.

Having regard to the merits of the case and the factors which led to the murder of the victim; the allegations which have been made against the present petitioner and his complicity, at this stage, do not call for any interference by this Court.

Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

The learned ACJM, Baruipur is directed to take steps for splitting up of the trial as also for commitment of the case to the Court of Sessions.

Accordingly, CRM(M) 307 of 2026 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.
