Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 1 year 2 months, chargesheet has already been submitted and till date, charges have not been framed. As such, petitioner may be released on bail. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and produces the case diary.

There are witnesses who have stated regarding the complicity of the present petitioner with another lady. Having regard to the nature of the offence complained of, I am of the opinion that this is not a fit case to enlarge the petitioner on bail. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

The application for bail, being CRM (M) 308 of 2026, is, thus, dismissed.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
