The petitioner complains of police inaction.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that despite the petitioner having requisite route permit, the petitioner is not allowed to ply his bus.

Learned Senior Advocate appearing for the State submits that the complaint of the petitioner was inquired into and that the police found that the petitioner requires a time slot of his choice to ply his bus. He submits that the police inquired with the bus syndicate and the bus syndicate is of the view that the petitioner is at liberty to ply his bus on the time allotted. It is the petitioner who chose not to ply his bus as he was not getting a time slot of his choice.

In the facts of the present case, since the police inquired into the complaint, no further interference is called for.

However, it would be appropriate to direct the police to ensure that no breach of peace occurs at the locale when the petitioner is plying his bus.

WPA of is disposed of accordingly.

The parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this court.
