The private respondents have also filed an Affidavit in Opposition which is taken on record. Copies of both Affidavits are served on the petitioners.

The grievance of the petitioner is inter-alia directed against the high handedness of the private respondents developers. It is alleged that there is collusion and connivance by the between the private respondents and the CESC Limited.

However, pursuant to the order dated 16.02.2026 passed by this Court, it is an admitted

position that the electricity service connection to the premises of the petitioner has been restored. It is also submitted on behalf of the CESC Limited that the connection which has been granted to the private respondents has been disconnected on the ground that the same was obtained by misrepresentation and furnishing fraudulent information.

In view of the above, the subsequent events which have transpired after filing of the writ petition, the present writ petition has for all practical purposes been served.

Liberty is granted to the petitioner to initiate appropriate proceedings whether civil or criminal as may be advised in accordance with law.

Let the above direction, WPA 2535 of 2026 stands disposed of.
