Sengupta, Ms. Sweta Saha ...for the petitioner Mr. Srijan Nayak, Ms. Rituparna Maitra ...for the State Mr. Ankit Sureka, Mr. Biplab Das ...for the respondent nos. 3 and 4 The innocuous prayer of the petitioner is that, the West Bengal Co-operative Election Commission, as framed under Section 96 of the West Bengal Cooperative Societies Act, 2006, may be directed to reconstitute the Board of the Padatik Co-operative Credit Society Limited by organizing its election as expeditiously as possible.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent nos. 3 and 4, that is, the Chairman and Secretary of the West Bengal Co-operative Election Commission submits that, in view of the numerous number of members of the

society, the Commission would require at least six months' time to complete the election process. Keeping in view the contentions of both the parties, W.P.A. 2159 of 2022 is disposed of by directing the respondent nos. 3 and 4 to ensure that the West Bengal Co-operative Election Commission completes the election process in respect of the Padatik Co-operative Credit Society Limited, that is, the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, positively within six months from date.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
