The petitioner is aggrieved by the slow progress of the proceeding under Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in Case No.M 43/2019 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kakdwip, 24 Parganas (South). The grievance of the petitioner is that immediately after the order of interim maintenance was passed, the opposite party/wife started to evade the court proceeding and, as such, the trial of the case has not progressed.

Learned ACJM, Kakdwip, 24 Parganas (South) is directed that steps should be taken so that the trial of the case which was initiated more than 3 years ago should be completed within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 332 of 2023 is disposed of.
