Compliance report has been filed in Court today. It appears that the order of this Court has been complied with, inasmuch as, an inspection with regard to the concerned premises has taken place. It was found that unauthorized constructions were going on and a self-demolition order has been issued.

Nothing further remains to be decided in the contempt application, as it is assured by the learned Advocate for the Howrah Municipal Corporation that the Corporation shall act and proceed in accordance with law, unless the order of demolition is otherwise stayed or set aside by a higher forum.

Accordingly, the contempt application being CPAN 90 of 2021 is disposed of. Contempt proceedings are dropped. (Shampa Sarkar, J.)
