The only prayer of the petitioner is for a direction on the respondent no.3 being the Sub-Divisional Officer, haldia, Purba Medinipur, to consider and dispose of the representation made by the petitioner on 4th August, 2022 for grant of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Certificate in favour of the petitioner.

The State and the U.O.I. are represented.

W.P.A. 2284 of 2023 is disposed of with a direction on the respondent no.3 to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 4th August, 2022 within three weeks from today by passing a reasoned order after giving an opportunity of hearing the petitioner and the respondent no.5 being the Block Land and Land Reforms Officers, Nandigram-I Block, Purba Medinipur. A copy of the reasoned order shall be made available to the petitioner within a week from the date of passing such order.
