The petitioner claims that the private respondents are compelling him to sign on some documents indicating that the private respondents' father and uncle were the employees of the petitioner. Counsel for the petitioner claims that at best the said persons were the independent contractors. This Court cannot make any pronouncement on the said issue since the same comes within the purview of a civil or statutory forum.

The petitioner and/or the private respondents may avail such remedies in accordance with law. The Inspector-in-charge, Malda Police Station has registered prosecution under Section 107 and Section 323 of the Indian Penal Code.

There is no inaction on the part of the police. However, in the event of any further complaint of any

threat from the petitioner, Malda Police Station may take appropriate steps in accordance with law. With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
