1. Perused the report filed by the Officer-in Charge, Behala Police Station signed on 22th June, 2025. The same is taken on record.

2. It appears that relying on the complaint lodged by the petitioner on 27th September, 2023, initially a GD Entry was made. Thereafter, the Behala Police Station registered the Behala PS Case No. 149 on 21st June, 2025 under Sections 338/340(2) of the B.N.S and the investigation is reported to be in progress.

3. As the police has already initiated an investigation in response to the complaint filed by the petitioner, accordingly, the bank is restrained from permitting

operation of the subject bank account till necessary order is obtained from the learned Trial Court.

4. The police shall ensure that the investigation is conducted and proceeded in the proper manner and in accordance with law.

5. The writ petition is disposed of.

6. Be it recorded that on 15th May, 2025 when the matter was taken up for consideration, Mr.

Srikumar Chakraborty learned advocate appeared on behalf of the Union of India. His name was incorrectly recorded as Mr. Kumar Chakraborty.

7. Let Mr. Srikumar Chakraborty's name be corrected in the order sheet dated 15th May, 2025 by the department.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
