Leaned Senior Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was arrested on 2nd November, 2022 and since then he is in custody. It has been emphasized that considering the detention of the present petitioner as well as the evidence which has surfaced, petitioner may be released on bail.

On the other hand, learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that out of 24 witnesses cited by the prosecution in the charge sheet, 14 witnesses have already been examined.

I have taken into account the submissions of the learned Senior Advocate appearing for the petitioner and his

emphasis on issues relating to the merits of the case as also the submissions advanced by the learned Advocate for the State. As a matter of last chance, I grant State an opportunity to conclude all the prosecution witnesses by 31st August, 2026. Having regard to the observations made above, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail at this stage. However, petitioner would be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail after the aforesaid period is over.

Accordingly, CRM (M) 323 of 2026 is dismissed at this stage.

All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
