This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the writ petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondent authorities. The case of the petitioner is that on February 19, 2020, the Headmaster of the school concerned has sent a letter to the ADI of Schools (S.E.), Uluberia, Howrah with regard to a prayer for sanctioning higher scale of pay for the petitioner.

Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that no action has been taken up on this letter sent by the Headmaster till date.

I have heard counsel appearing on behalf of the parties and perused the materials placed on record. I, accordingly, direct the Additional District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Howrah being the respondent no.4 herein to grant an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and thereafter pass a reasoned order within a period of eight

weeks from date.

The reasoned order should be communicated to the petitioner within one week from the date of passing of the same.

With these observations, this writ petition stands disposed of.

Since, no affidavit-in-opposition has been called for the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have not been admitted by the respondents.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
