Petitioner is in custody for more than three years. He submits there is inordinate delay in trial. He prays for bail. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer. He submits report. From the report it appears though charge was framed on 5th October, 2021, trial court remained vacant for a considerable period of time. This resulted in delay. In view of the aforesaid circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner on the score of delay. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
