Despite service of notice, the private respondent son is not represented. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

The petitioner claims that she had to leave her house unable to bear the torture by the son and his family. The petitioner claims protection. The house is standing in the name of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the State has produced a report in the form of instructions dated 8th February, 2023 issued by the IC, Jhargram Police Station addressed to the learned Government Pleader and the same is taken on record.

This Court, therefore, directs the Jhargram Police to take the petitioner back into her house. Jhargram Police shall issue sufficient warning to the private respondent son against any threat or intimidation to the petitioner. In the event of further grievances against the son, the petitioner shall contact the Jhargram Police immediately. Thereafter, Jhargram Police shall make due

inquiries and take appropriate steps against the private respondent son, which shall include coercive measures, if necessary. Jhargram Police shall also maintain regular vigil on the said premises.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
