Report submitted by the State is taken on record. The petitioner is in custody for about two years and seven months and seeks bail primarily on the ground of delay in trial. It appears from the report that twelve witnesses have been examined. The prosecution proposes to examine 7/8 more witnesses.

Considering the material on record, prayer of bail is rejected at this stage. However, in view of the period of detention of the petitioner, learned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. On prayer of the parties, liberty is granted to communicate the gist of the order.

The application for bail is disposed of.
