1. Learned counsel for the petitioner-bank submits that the application of the petitionerbank under Section 14 of the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 (in short "2002 Act") has been kept pending inordinately.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner-bank also contends that there is no pending application under Section 17 of the 2002 Act and/or any other restraint order regarding the disposal of the Section 14 of the 2002 Act.

3. Despite service, none appears for the private respondents at the time of call, although the State is represented through counsel.

Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today be kept on record.

4. Accordingly, WPA No. 2298 of 2024 is disposed of by directing the respondent no. 2, that is, the District Magistrate, Purba Bardhaman, to dispose of the petitioner's application under Section 14 of the 2002 Act as expeditiously as possible, positively within three weeks from date.

5. There will be no order as to costs.

6. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities. (Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.)
