The petitioner has prayed for a direction upon the trial Court for expeditious disposal of G.R. Case No. 3052 of 2017 arising out of Sinthi P.S. Case No. 124 dated 9th November, 2017 under Sections 341/324/354/506 of the Indian Penal Code presently pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sealdah.

On perusal of the instant application and having heard the learned advocate for the petitioner this Court is of the view that the instant revision can be disposed of with the assistance of the learned advocate on behalf of the State of West Bengal. Therefore, Mr. Manoranjan Mahata, learned P.P.-in-charge is requested to assist this Court.

Appointment of Mr. Mahata be regularized by the learned Legal Remembrancer, Government of West Bengal.

It is submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that in the above mentioned case charge was framed on 7th May, 2018. Thereafter more than four years have elapsed but not a single witness has been examined. This is an unfortunate state of affair that the learned Magistrate failed to bring the witnesses during the span of four and half years.

In view of such circumstances, the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sealdah is directed to take effective step for production and examination of the witnesses in expeditious manner. He shall take all endeavour to dispose of the case within eight months from the date of communication of this order. The instant revision is, thus, disposed of.
