The petitioner complains of illegal and unauthorized construction in the premises No.10/2 Gopal Doctor Road, P.S.-Watgunge, Ward No. 76, Borough-IX, Kolkata-700023.

The learned advocate appearing for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation submits that an inspection has been conducted and it has been detected that illegal construction has been made in the said premises beyond the sanctioned plan. Notice has been issued for stopping work and thereafter a demolition sketch plan has also been prepared.

The learned advocate seeks time for conclusion of the demolition proceeding.

As there is a definite finding from the Kolkata Municipal Corporation that illegal construction has been made in the premises in question and a demolition sketch plan has already been prepared the Corporation is directed to conclude the demolition proceeding, in accordance with law, within a period of six months from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

W.P.A. 1580 of 2020 is disposed of.
