Sen, Mr. Jaladhi Das ...for the State The petitioner complains that the Nandakumar Police Station, Purba Medinipur, has not taken any steps despite regular complaints lodged with them against acts of assault, intimidation and nuisance at the hands of the private respondents.

It is submitted that the private respondents continue to assault the petitioner in connection with a land dispute. The private respondents are the uncles and other relatives of the petitioner. It appears from the report of the Nandakumar Police, produced by Mr. Amal Kr.

Sen, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the State, that as many as three several charge sheets have been filed on the basis of the FIRs registered by the petitioner. The said charge sheets are C.S.

No. 199 of 2020 dated 08.08.2020, C.S. No. 35 of 2021 dated 31.01.2021 and C.S. No. 151 of 2021 dated 13.06.2021.

This Court, therefore, sees that steps have been taken by the Nandakumar Police Station, pursuant to the petitioner's complaint.

However, since it is complained that the private respondents continue to assault the petitioner and obstruct the petitioner from carrying out his milk distribution, the Officer-inCharge, Nandakumar Police Station shall review the threat perception to the petitioner and consider posting of a police picket near the petitioner's residence, at the cost of the petitioner. The report in the form of instructions of the Nandakumar Police Station dated 20.04.2022, addressed to the learned Government Pleader, may be kept with the record.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
