Petitioner prays for expediting the progress of the proceedings being Complaint Case No.75 of 2023 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 4th Court, Barrackpore under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.

The grievance of the petitioner is that on 08.01.2024 after the examination under Section 251 of the Code of Criminal Procedure was over, the learned Magistrate fixed date in the month of July, 2024 after a period of six months.

In view of the grievance so expressed, I direct the learned Magistrate to fix dates as earlier preferably once in every 60 days so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment be granted to any of the parties. All efforts be made by the stakeholders to conclude the trial at the earliest. With the aforesaid observations, CRR 432 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
