Petitioners seek anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that there was a dispute with regard to certain property. A village mediation took place, which failed. Thereafter, the present police complaint was lodged. The petitioners also lodged a complaint with regard to the same incident. Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the injury report of the victim and the statement recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. He submits that the petitioners and their henchmen also assaulted the police personnel at the locale and set fire to a police vehicle.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the separate police case was lodged by the police suo motu in respect of which, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the

petitioners was rejected.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioners therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected.

C.R.M. (A) 665 of 2022 is dismissed.
