It is submitted on behalf of the parties that the matter relating to gratuity payable to the respondent no.4 has been amicably settled between the parties and the respondent no.4 is agreeable to receive an amount of Rs.1,31,000/- towards full and final settlement of his claim from the petitioner.

It also appears that the petitioner deposited an amount of Rs.84,404/- before the appellate authority at the time of preferring appeal challenging the order of the Controlling Authority passed on 25th September, 2017. The said appeal was dismissed by an order dated 29/11/2019 and the settlement has been arrived at during pendency of the present writ petition. Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the parties the writ petition is disposed of in terms of the settlement arrived at between the parties.

It is submitted on behalf of the parties that the cheques amounting to Rs.1,31,000/- have been handed over by the petitioner to the respondent no.4. The petitioner is at liberty to withdraw the amount of Rs.84,404/- deposited by it before the appellate authority.

With the aforesaid observation, WPA 1657 of 2020 is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
